Swertres is also called 3D Lotto. It’s one of the most popular lottery games in the Philippines! The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office runs it (that’s partof the Philippine government).
Here’s how it works: Players pick three lucky numbers from 0 to 9 on their tickets. Then you wait for the draws! They happen three times a day – at 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM, & 9:00 PM.
The name “Swertres” means “lucky three numbers” in Filipino. Pretty cool, right? “Swerte” comes from the Spanish word “suerte” which means luck. “Tres” just means three. This game is super popular in rural areas because it’s easy to play. You can find tickets almost everywhere – in practically every barangay!
Now here’s the exciting part about winning:
If you guess the exact three-number combination, you win BIG! Each ticket costs Php 12.00, but if you win, you get Php 4,500.00. That’s a lot of money!
There’s also something called “Rambolito” (it’s a system play). You still pick three numbers, but you can arrange them in six different ways. If you win with Rambolito, you get Php 750.00.
Got a big win? For prizes over Php 10,000 (that’s Php 10,001 & up), you’ll need to go to any PCSO branch office to claim your money. Just remember – there’s a 20% tax on these bigger prizes because of the TRAIN Act.
